The ingredients needed to make Coconut Chutney:
  1. Take Approximately 1 cup Coconut
  2. Take 1/4 cup roasted channa daal (also known as Buna Channa)
  3. Prepare 1/2 green chilli (dont add if you are serving for kids)
  4. Get 2-3 pods Garlic -
  5. Take 1 strand coriander leaves
  6. Get 2 strands curry leaves
  7. Prepare 1 Dry Red Chilli
  8. Make ready Mustard-Urad daal seeds for tempering
  9. Get Cumin seeds for tempering
  10. Prepare Half a pinch of Asafotida or Hing
  11. Get to taste Salt
Steps to make Coconut Chutney:
  1. Add all the ingredients together in a blender and blend coarsely…upto 95% only.
  2. And then transfer it to a bowl
  3. Now, add oil in a small tempering pan, after it gets heated, add dry red chilli, mustard seeds along with 1 pinch of whole Urad daal.
  4. After it splutters, add very little cumin seeds and add Asafotida followed by curry leaves and switch of the flame and pour this tempering over the coconut chutney…it is ready to be served…a must try for all chutney lovers….try and comment on it, plz…
