- Get 2-3 Black pepper pods
- Make ready 1 Dry red chilli
- Take 2-3 cardamom
- Take 1 tsp Jeera/ cumin seeds
- Prepare For Raita
- Prepare 1 1/2 Cup curd (fresh)
- Get 1 Medium cucumber chopped
- Take 1 medium onion chopped
- Prepare 1 tsp Green chilli chopped
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Jeera( cumin( powder
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Mint (pudina) powder
- Get 1/2 tsp Black salt
- Get 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- Prepare to taste Salt
Instructions to make Jhatpat Kadai Pulao with Mix Raita:
- Soak rice in a vessel and cook it by boiling for 12-15 minutes. Strain the water and keep aside. Or, you can use leftover rice as well.
- Heat a heavy bottom pan/ non-stick kadai. Add ghee and oil in it. Add dry red chilli, jeera, cardamom and clove stir for 30 seconds. Add ginger and green chilli as well.
- Add onion, cook until it becomes transparent then add chopped tomatoes. Cover for 2 minutes and let the tomatoes be soft and tender.
- Add onion, ginger and green chilli. Give a quick stir fry for one minute. Add onion cook until it becomes transparent then add chopped tomatoes and cover for 2 minutes. Let the tomatoes be soft and tender for about 2 minutes.
- Add all the veggie and let it cook for 1 minute.

- Add all the spices and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium to high flame.

- Add cooked rice and pao bhaji masala in it and mix well.
- Put your gas on high flame. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Pulao is ready. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- For the Raita, strain the fresh curd. Put it in a bowl.
- Mix cucumber, onion and green chilli in the curd.
- Add all the spices. Voila! Your lunch is ready to be served. You can serve it with fryums/ papad as well.
