The ingredients needed to make Rasmalai:
- Take 1 litre Milk
- Prepare 2 tsp vinegar
- Take 100 gm cottage cheese
- Make ready pinch saffron
- Take 1/2 cup Sugar
- Prepare 1 tsp rose water
- Prepare 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- Prepare sugar Syrup
- Get 1 cup Sugar
- Prepare 1 cup water
- Make ready 3 tsp Chopped dry fruits
Instructions to make Rasmalai:
- Take 1/2 lit milk and boil it.Put vinegar for making cottage cheese./You can take 100gm readymade cottage cheese.
- Take a cotton cloth and squize the excess water and hang it for 30 mins.
- Now take another pan,pour 1/2 lit milk and boil it in medium flame.
- Take pinch of Saffron and add hot milk.When a yellow colour comes out.Then add to the milk.
- Add sugar and cook for 15 mins.Then add rose water or cardamom powder.After 10 mins,it converts to a nice malai.
- In another pan, making the sugar syrup(Water and sugar).Add cardamom powder.
- Mash the cottage cheese for 15 mins.Now make small balls and press a little.
- Put the cottage cheese balls to the sugar syrup and cover it for 15 mins.When it becomes double in size, remove from the pan.
- Now squize the sugar syrup from the Rasgulla and put it to the malai and put it in the fridge for at least 30 mins.
- After 30mins,you can serve it.Itz a lovely dessert.Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
