The ingredients needed to make Lemon rice:
- Prepare 2 cups cooked rice
- Prepare 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
- Take 2 tbsp oil
- Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Take 2 green chillies
- Get 1 Red chilli
- Take 1 sprig curry leaves
- Take 1 1/2 tsp chana dal
- Take 1 tsp urad dal
- Make ready 1/2 tsp ginger finely chopped
- Get 2 dried red chillies broken
- Get 1 pinch hing
- Prepare 4 tbsp fried cashewnuts
- Take Salt as per taste
Instructions to make Lemon rice:
- Cook the rice with salt and cool it. Sprinkle lemon juice and 1 tsp oil and mix and keep aside
- Heat oil in a pan, when hot add chana dal and urad dal fry till golden,add mustard seeds & allow to crackle,add the chopped chillies,red broken chillies, curry leaves,chopped ginger & hing
- Saute and then add haldi powder mix well and pour this to the cooled lemon rice. Mix evrything very well. While serving garnish with cashewnuts
