  1. Rinse basmati rice two to three times, till the water runs clear
  2. Soak rice for half an hour
  3. Heat ghee in a pan add all the other ingredients to it, jeera, curry leaves, green chillies saute it for two to three minutes keep aside.
  4. Now take a cooker add soaked and drained basmati rice add 21/2 cup water, and salt mix well, on medium flame get one whistle, turn off the flame
  5. When the cooker gets cool, remove the lid mix the tampering which we prepared and kept, give it a gentle mix, now you can serve jeera rice with any choice of your curry..
