The ingredients needed to make Jeera Rice:
  1. Make ready 1.5 Cup Whole Grain Rice
  2. Get 2.5 Cup Water
  3. Prepare 3-4 Tablespoons Desi Ghee
  4. Get 1 Lemon Juice
  5. Get As required Khade Masale/ Dry Spices
  6. Make ready 1 Badi Elaichi/ Big Cardomom
  7. Make ready 1 Small Daal Chini
  8. Get 3 Dry Red Chillies
  9. Take 2 Tej Patta/ Bay Leaf
  10. Prepare 2 teaspoons Jeera
  11. Take 1 Teaspoon Salt
Instructions to make Jeera Rice:
  1. Wash Rice Properly & carefully so that all of it's starch is released & till water becomes transparent.
  2. Then soak them in water for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, take a Kadhai or pan, add 3 Table Spoon Desi Ghee in it & keep the gas at medium flame.
  4. Then add Khade Masale in it & let them sizzle.
  5. Now after 3-4 minutes, drain out the water from rice & add them in kadhai without water.
  6. Then roast them in desi ghee for 2-3 minutes so that ghee sticks to every rice grain & in the end every grain of rice is separated.
  7. After 2-3 minutes, add 2.5 Cups of water with 1 Teaspoon Salt & 1 Lemon Juice.
  8. Then close the lid by 3/4 & let it boil on high flame.
  9. When it starts boiling, turn the gas on medium flame & stir them regularly after 3-4 minutes each.
  10. Remember don’t stir them for more than 2-3 minutes.
  11. After 2 second 3-4 minutes, check whether any water is left at bottom of Kadhai or not with the help of a fork.
  12. If fork is clear & no water is left, turn off the gas, close the lid properly & let them sit in their and steam it for 5 minutes.
  13. After 5 minutes, open the lid & your Jeera Rice are ready to be served.
