The ingredients needed to make Jeera Rice:
- Get 1 cup Basmati rice
- Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1 black cardamom
- Prepare 5 whole black pepper
- Prepare 1 bay leaf
- Prepare 2 cloves
- Prepare 1" cinnamon
- Get 2-4 or to taste green chilli
- Get 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- Make ready 1+1/2 cup water
- Prepare 1 tsp 0r to taste salt
- Get 1 tsp desi ghee
- Make ready 1 tsp lemon juice
Steps to make Jeera Rice:
- Wash and soaked the rice for 15 minutes.
- Take a press cooker, on medium flame heat desi ghee. Add cinnamon, whole black pepper, black cardamom, cloves & bay leaf. Saute for 30 seconds. On low flame add green chilli,roasted for few seconds.
- Now combine basmati rice saute for few seconds on low flame, add salt, water & lemon juice. Mix well and close the lid.
- On medium flame apply a whistle. Then switch off the flame.
- When cooker's pressure is released, open the lid. Add 3/4 of coriander leaves. Mix well. Quick recipe ' Jeera Rice is ready to serve.
- Take out ' Jeera Rice 'in serving bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy!!
