The ingredients needed to make Jeera rice:
- Take 1 bowl rice
- Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Take 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- Make ready 1 tomato
- Make ready 1 cardamom stick
- Get 8-10 black pepper seeds
- Prepare 6 cloves(loung)
- Make ready as needed Bay leaves
- Take to taste Salt
- Get To taste Red chilli powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Garam masala

Steps to make Jeera rice:
- Wash and Soak rice for 1/2 an hour.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Grate tomato and add in this mixture and sauté. Add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala and rice and stir thoroughly. Mix cardamom, loung and black pepper seeds.
- Stir the mixture and add 1 and 1/2 bowl water and stir. Place the lid and pressure cook till first whistle. Switch off the flame.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally.
- Serve hot with pickle and salad
