- Add ginger paste,chilli paste, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, asafoetida, cumin powder. Mix well. Add little bit water. Cook for 2 minutes. Add 1.5 cups of water. Cook in medium flame until potato and pumpkin will soft and the gravy will dry. Add sugar and mix well. Put off the flame and cover for 1 minute. Ready to serve with puri or roti/chapati.
