  2. Grind the spices except hing. Grind it coarsely. Now in a bowl/vessel add the urad dal and spices. Add 1 tsp water to hing and add it in the dal.
  3. Mix well. Grease a plate with oil. Take the dal in your hand and place it on the plate as the desired size to make the vadi. Once done, then cover the plate with a muslin cloth and keep it in the sun to dry for 5-6 days. Once dried fill in an air tight container. Can make vadi sabji as and when reqd.
