The ingredients needed to make Jeera rice:
  1. Prepare 1 cup-Basmati rice
  2. Get 2 tsp-cumin seed
  3. Take 1 tbsp-ghee
  4. Take 1 bayleaf
  5. Make ready 1 inch-cinnamon stick
  6. Make ready 8-10 -whole black pepper corn
  7. Prepare to taste Salt
  8. Make ready Water as required
Steps to make Jeera rice:
  1. Wash rice throughly and soak in water for 1/2 an hour. After 1/2 an hour drain the rice.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds,bayleaf,whole black pepper corn and cinnamon stick.when cumin seeds crackled add the rice. Add salt to taste.
  3. Stir till ghee coats every grains of rice it looks glossy. Add 2 cup of water.bring to a boil. Stir and reduce heat to minimum and cover the pan.
  4. Rice will be done when water has been completely absorbed. You see that rice will separates each grains.
  5. Serve hot with any curry.
