The ingredients needed to make Dry chilli paneer:
- Make ready 200 grms paneer
- Prepare 01 diced onion
- Get 01 diced tomato
- Take 02 slit green chilli
- Get 6-7 garlic cloves
- Get 01 tbsp black sesame(optional)
- Make ready 01 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Take 01 tbsp chilli powder
- Make ready to taste Salt
- Make ready 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
- Take as per taste Some ajinomoto for authentic chinese taste(optional)
- Take as required Water
- Take as needed oil
- Take 1/2 cup cornflour
- Make ready 02 tbsp maida
Steps to make Dry chilli paneer:
- Lets marinate paneer first
- Take a mixing bowl add 1/2 cup cornflour and 02 tbsp maida
- Add 01 tbsp chilli powder, 1/2 tbsp coriander powder, salt to taste.
- Add 01 tbsp ginger garlic paste and water as required to make smooth batter.
- Mix well and make batter. Check picture below for consistency.
- Add paneer cubes and marinate well for 20 min
- Deep fry paneer till crisp and golden brown
- Remove on plate
- Lets make chilli paneer
- Take a pan add 02-03 tsp oil and add garlic, green chillies
- Add diced onion and saute for a minute
- Add diced capsicum and 01 tbsp black sesame(optional) and saute for 01 min(do not overcook)
- Add 02 tbsp vinegar, 02 tbsp soya sauce.
- Add 01 tbsp chilli sauce and 01 tbsp ketchup
- Add 1/4 tsp salt.(do not add too much as sauces contain salt and fried paneer also has salt)
- Add fried paneer and sprinkle some ajinomoto for authentic chinese taste(if you want you can skip ajinomoto)
- Mix it thoroughly and serve it hot as starter or with fried rice, noodles etc.
