In regards to cooking, it is very important to take into account that every one started somewhere. I don’t know of a single person who was born with a wooden cooking spoon and ready to go. There is a great deal of learning that needs to be completed as a way to become a prolific cook and then there is always room for advancement. Not only would you will need to start with the basics in terms of cooking however, you almost should begin again when learning to cook a fresh cuisine such as Chinese, Indian, Thai, or Indian food.

Which means that at any given time on your cooking cycle cycles there’s quite probably someone somewhere that is worse or better at cooking compared to you. Take heart from this as even the most effective have bad days in terms of cooking. There are lots of men and women who cook for several factors. Some cook in order to consume and live although some cook because they actually enjoy the whole process of cooking. Some cook through the times of emotional upheaval and others cookout of utter boredom. Whatever your reason for cooking or learning to cook you should always begin with the basics.

The good news is that once you’ve learned the basics of cooking it is unlikely you will ever have to displace them. This usually means you could constantly build up and expand your cooking skills. Since you find new recipes and better your culinary skills and talents you will realize that preparing your own meals from scratch is much more rewarding than preparing pre packaged meals that are purchased from the shelves of your local supermarkets.

Additionally you will discover as your experience and confidence grows you will find yourself increasingly more regularly improvising when you proceed and adjusting recipes to fulfill your personal preferences. If you prefer more or less of ingredients or would like to make a recipe a little more or less hot in flavor you can make simple adjustments along the way in order to achieve this objective. In other words you will start in time to create recipes of one’s personal. And that’s something which you will not necessarily learn when it comes to basic cooking skills to beginners however you’d never know if you did not master those basic cooking skills.

Steps to make Cajun Meat Horns:
  1. Brown ground beef with onions, peppers, creole seasoning, tobasco, Rotel tomatoes, and salt and pepper. Drain, add Tomato sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  2. Cut Velveeta into 1/2 in slices, then cut each slice lengthwise into 3 strips.
  3. Fill a small bowl with water for sealing the rolls.
  4. Place 2 to 3 Tablespoons of meat mixture in the corner of an egg roll wrapper, then top with one strip of cheese and roll up tightly taking care to tuck the sides securely in. Seal by dabbing water along the seam with your fingertips.
  5. Repeat until you run out of wrappers! Set the prepped rolls on foil or wax paper.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F. Gently place rolls in hot oil and fry to golden brown, turning once. Take out of oil and drain on a rack or paper towels….eat and enjoy!!!
  7. Notes: IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPICY FOOD…..DON'T MAKE THIS. Reduce the peppers and tobasco to lessen the heat. Use gloves when chopping those peppers and DON'T touch anything on you body or anyone else's…trust me on that… Wash your hands with vinegar or lemon juice after chopping the peppers. I serve these with either red beans or black beans and rice. Finally, if you have extra meat mixture left, it mixes well into the beans or freezes well too. I created this recipe after having something similar at a local Cajun restaurant…theirs was made with shredded beef and pickled jalapeno peppers, so this is my version.
