- Once the onions turns slight golden pink. Add salt, turmeric, chilli powder, heeng and coriander powder. Give them all a nice mix.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes. And let it cook till the oil separates.
- Add this prepared tempering to the cooked dal and add the garam masala now. Serve hot with boiled rice. Enjoy!
